About Our President

Gerry WakelandGerry Wakeland brings a wealth of diverse experience to her leadership role at CLASSEMINARS. After spending the first twenty years of her career in corporate and/or non profit management, working for organizations such as Sheraton, PacTel Cellular, and the Master Chorale of Orange County, Gerry responded to God's call into full-time ministry.

A unique visionary leader, Gerry is able to see the Big Picture while focusing on the details. Through this special gifting, Gerry is excited to take CLASSEMINARS to a higher level of excellence, through both the development of new programs as well as the refinement of current ones.

Most importantly Gerry has a heart for God and His Kingdom and her greatest desire is for others to experience the love of Christ. Spiritual development and formation are an important part of Gerry's life, both personally and professionally, and it is her goal to include this element prominently in the future of CLASSEMINARS and all Seminar programming.

We want to continue to train men and women around the globe to be ready and able to share the message God has given them. Equipping and empowering them to change lives and edify the Kingdom of God is our first priority.

Another of Gerry's goals is for CLASSEMINARS is to perpetuate the legacy Florence Littauer began 30 years ago. "We want to continue to train men and women around the globe to be ready and able to share the message God has given them," Gerry says. "Equipping and empowering them to change lives and edify the Kingdom of God is our first priority."

Prior to her previous position as Managing Director of CLASS, Gerry served as Women's Ministry Director at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA.  A veteran event planner of over 30 years, Gerry served as the Director of the International Women's Conference on Possibility Thinking for a number of years prior to her staff position at the Cathedral.

She has also held varied leadership positions in the Women's Ministry program within the Reformed Church in America, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Women's Ministry Institute. Gerry has served as a consultant on establishing women's programs, leadership development and revitalizing women's ministry organizations for numerous churches throughout the US and Canada.

One of Gerry's greatest joys has been helping other Christian leaders launch their non profit ministries.
