Using The Personalities as a Teacher

I teach high school students and their world is all about them, so they particularly enjoy thinking and talking about themselves.

I introduce the personalities to them not only to help them know more about themselves, but also to help me understand their idiosyncracies. My passion is not only to teach, but to touch my students in a profound way. Knowing which students are born leaders (cholerics), perfectionists (melancholies), peace-seekers (phlegmatics), and joy producers (sanguines) gives me a heads-up on how to best relate to and reach them.

This information also helps me with guidance and discipline. Armed with the knowledge of why they are the way they are, my students also benefit personally. My juniors and seniors are especially helped because they can begin to narrow down their occupational choices and college majors based upon their insight into their own personality style. They can match their career choices with their own heart's passion because their knowledge of the personalities has helped them discover what that passion is.

I truly believe I'm a much better teacher thanks to my implementation of my insight into the Personalities.
