FAQ

What is CLASS?
CLASS is an acronym that stands for Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Seminars.

What does CLASS do?
Provides training and resources for those individuals desiring to become excellent Christian communicators and leaders by offering programs that focus primarily on developing professional speaking, writing, and leadership skills.

CLASSeminars are devoted to developing speaking skills. Fridays with Florence, is for those speakers who wish to refine their skills and polish their professional image in a hands-on and intimate mentoring environment limited to eight attendees.

For writers, the CLASS Christian Writers Conference is held every fall. This writers conference has gained the reputation as one of the premier writers conferences in the country with more than seventy faculty members, made up of Professional Writers, Editors, Agents and other industry professionals, and attracts everyone from novice to multi-published writers from coast-to-coast.

For those speakers, teachers and trainers looking to add time-tested and proven material to their individual areas of expertise, CLASS also offers the Personality Training Workshop. Based on the Littauer's popular program, known as The Personalities, attendees learn specific techniques, answers to the most frequent Personality problems, and everything they need to confidently add The Personalities to their menu of speaking/training options.

What is the CLASSeminar and what is it about?
The CLASSeminar is a three-day seminar designed to train and equip Christian communicators to be more effective communicators and leaders.

What is taught at The CLASSeminar?
We teach how to develop a presentation with techniques and tools like outlining and formatting.  We also help you discover where you get ideas for speaking and writing.  We demonstrate how to make your presentations more colorful.  We include topics like organization, memorization and journaling to help you become more effective in your preparation.

Who should attend The CLASSeminar?
Men and women who desire to be more dynamic and effective communicators. This includes both writers and speakers. Pastors, Sunday school teachers, Women's Ministry Directors, sales people, businessmen, women and, virtually anyone who desires to communicate with excellence.

What makes The CLASSeminar different from other communication seminars?
The personalized coaching as well as the immediate application of what you learned in the classroom. We are very intentional about our faculty to attendee ratio. Each participant is assigned to a mentor/coach. Each day participants spend up to 2 hours in a coaching group where they take what they learned that day and immediately put it to use in a presentation. They then receive feedback from their coach as well as from the other participants. These groups range from 4 - 10 depending on the number of participants and individuals are grouped with others of similar skill level and focus.

Who are the teachers/coaches?
Our founder, Florence Littauer continues to travel and teach with our team. CLASS has 44 trainers who are internationally recognized authors and speakers who come from diverse backgrounds. Some are professional counselors, educators, full-time speakers and/or writers. We have editors, men and women in full-time ministry, worship leaders, pastors, as well as business men and women. Information on individual faculty can be found on our faculty page.
